Gene Bowne

David Prettyman

Gene was the first "real" conductor for the Milford Community Band.  In addition to conducting the band he was also a teacher at the Delaware Music School. Gene was the band director for Cape Henlopen school district for many years.

David Prettyman

Dave primarily served as conductor for MCB during the summer months .   Dave was as a band director for the Caesar Rodney School District.  In the mid to late 60's he was Director of the Dover Air Force Base Band program (Grades 4-12). He then taught Beginner Band students (grades 4-6) in most of the Caesar Rodney School District  elementary schools until his retirement in the early 80's.

Phil is the current conductor of the band.  In addition to conducting for the Milford Community Band, Phil has also been a band director for Dover Air Base High School and St. Thomas Moore Academy.  

Glenn Lutedtke

Glenn is currently the Associate Director for the Milford Community Band.  After attending the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Glenn joined the United States Army Band in Washington DC.  In addition to his musical endeavors, Glenn has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Director of Emergency Medical Services for Sussex County until his retirement in 2010.
